Bicentennial:
A Short Film By theJLM

Through a stream of evocative images and an original ambient score, Bicentennial takes inspiration from 3 of the best films ever made, which all happen to have been released in 1976. Each of its 3 parts explores themes around those movies by way of critically examining the pernicious unreality of the so-called "American Dream" – with its concepts of lonely rugged individualism and capitalistic success that, rather than inspire, may only do more to keep us separated from both our power as a people and our own personal inner peace.
